In 2007, Puppy Manners was voted the most popular dog trainers by CityDog Magazine. We have to thank all of our loyal clients and their wonderful dogs for this accalade! We couldn't have done it without all of you! Puppy Manners was named "Best Bet for Your Pet" by Seattle Magazine. Becky has been featured on CNN, KIRO News and numerous press stories about her good works with dogs and Reading With Rover. Most recently, KOMO4 news featured Becky and her dog Moose, her pet therapy dog. Becky loves dog training but most of all "what pays the heart" says Becky is sharing your dog with others in the many pet therapy programs available in the Seattle area such as Reading With Rover. Look into the Seattle's Best Pet Therapy class if volunteering with your dog appeals to you. We like to start out with getting you and your puppy heading in the right direction. And where is that? Well, just check out our Minding Our Mocha Manners page and you'll get a good idea! Becky Bishop has a reputation for being a gifted dog trainer, but more importantly she is a real "people person" who is not just a canine coach, but your coach as well. Dave Bishop is a certified horse whisperer but mostly he whispers dogs and puppies! Dave is a big guy with a soft heart and his handling skills of puppies and dogs are almost magical. He has an almost mystical calming affect on all the dogs and puppies he meets and coaches. If you are serious about training your dog, get ready to find your funny bone because Becky is also known for her humor and wit! If you don't have a sense of humor about your dog, you'll find one when you sign up for Puppy Manners group classes! Training your dog should be fun and rewarding, not a chore. Our group dog and puppy training classes are held in the finest training rooms available at the number one boarding facility in Washington State, Puppy Manners in Woodinville. Some of the perks of being a member of the Puppy Manners program are the fun field trips and "Get Along Little Doggie" play dates available only to Puppy Manners students. Becky and her husband Dave have three children and know how frustrating it can be to train a dog while raising children. We don't want you to wait until you have a problem to seek advice. Learn early how to prevent bad habits and establish good manners by having a Puppy Manners consultation with Becky in your home. Becky is also a wiz with kids! It helps to have Becky lay some "ground rules" that kids can live with when it comes to puppies. Parents can tell the kids the rules for kids and dogs but kids seem to take it better from a "real" puppy coach! While we are willing to travel we know that can be a costly option. We network with other great dog trainers and we are more than happy to give you a referral! Please check out our photo album to see other dogs' reaction to ranch life. Our animal family consists of four dogs, three horses and two barn cats! And the wild life here is stunning. We have deer, eagles, hawks, raccoons, pheasant, and bunnies that run across our green pastures. It's heaven here to us, and we think the dogs agree! We have huge fenced play areas and if your dog is Invisible Fence® trained, s/he can romp around the ranch with Diesel and Sugar, the Bishop family dogs. Many dogs from all over Washington State continue to enjoy the ranch even after training. Having your dog trained with Becky and Dave at Puppy Manners does have its privileges! Dogs that train with us either privately, board & train or those that are enrolled in puppy group classes may reserve their guest room at the ranch for something we call pure "stay and play!" - a treat that all well-mannered dogs deserve! From Mercer Island, Bellevue, Everett, Redmond, Kirkland, or Seattle we are an easy commute! On the following pages you will find information about our ranch and our group puppy and dog obedience training classes along with some free training tips to help you train your dog. Our photo album is updated quite often... see anyone you know? So, Sit, Down... and Stay a while! And come back often! If you have any questions or wish to write us, please send email to info@puppymanners.com. |
